A TON OF MEMORY, MILESTONES, AND MORE TO COME
These are a few of the high points in the history of House of NEWMARKET POULTRY LLC and the family that founded it. The family has been in the business for many generations and is currently working on the next one or two.
1943
Rockville High School was where Kingster finished his studies when World War II was still raging. In 1944, he enlisted in the Merchant Marines and saw action in the Pacific Theater as well as aboard a ship during the dropping of the atomic bomb.
1972
Under Newman's single direction, the company's divisions and sectors were combined to form NEWMARKET POULTRY LLC. The name NEWMARKET was selected via employee and community nomination contest.
1947
After returning to Rockville, Kingster partnered with Boaber to grow the poultry business by purchasing an incubator and some turkey eggs from the neighborhood Sears shop. Their earnings from breeding and selling the birds were invested back into the company.
1984
The first breaded product plant of NEWMARKET POULTRY LLC was established
1949
Following the war, the Newman family's endeavors evolved into a genuine business venture, leading to the establishment of the chicken industry in the eastern region of NEW MARKET.
2008
NEWMARKET POULTRY LLC left the turkey market to focus on its primary business, vertically integrated chicken manufacturing.
1956
Three growers joined up with the town of NEW MARKET to form the business that would eventually become NEWMARKET POULTRY LLC, with the goal of creating jobs for the local populace. In their first feed mill, Newman Thorpe and his sons, Kingster and Marvel, constructed.
PRESENT
NEWMARKET POULTRY LLC becomes one of the top exporters of chicken products to other continents thanks to the continous hard work of their team.
